Power SystemA compact, one-piece power unit provides the activating force to raise and lower the TC- 100 bed. Operating cycle time is 27 seconds. The 12 volt battery cable is the only electrical connection required.Bed SupportWhen the bed is resting on the frame, it is supported by three heavy rubber pads that reduce metal to metal contact and noise. Control where and when you need it has been designed into every phase of the TC-130 spreader "Ice Control System" for maximum reliability. The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is located under the dash, or, may be mounted on the transmission tunnel for driver "fingertip" convenience. Power hookup for the system consists of attaching two supplied cables and a solenoid to the truck battery, installing the motor wiring harness from the ECU to the rear of the truck, and plugging in the waterproof Packard-style connectors to the D-ICER motors. The supplied solenoid control wires are then routed to the On/Off and bed Raise/Lower solenoids to complete the installation. The auger and the spinner are driven by high efficiency electric motors that have been custom designed for this TruckCraft product. Both motors have speed adjustments on the ECU so that material flow and spread pattern can be controlled independently.
TruckCraft now offers a heavy duty tempered aluminum truck flat that is ideal for the commercial landscaping contractor because of it's low mounting height, excellent strength-to-weight characteristics and great lifelong appearance. Made from 100% 6061-T6 heat treated aluminum alloy extrusions, the welded design provides an extremely rigid platform. The floor is constructed of extruded planks that provide rigid reinforcement every 5" underneath, and a tongue-in-groove joint on top to withstand heavy point loading and impact. The long sills are minimum 4" x 2-1/4" aluminum channel. The front, back, and rub rails are a custom shape with extruded ribs for added strength and improved appearance, and provide a total bed height of just 5-1/2". Stake pockets are cut into the inside of all rails. All bed corners are mitered for safety and improved appearance. The unit comes standard with flush mounting 2-1/2" grommet-style clearance, marker, and I.D. FMVSS lights, with wiring harness. Sizes available for pickups through one-ton cab-chassis. Available options include: Profiled front bulkhead with protected window, bright diamond plate tailboard with 4 1/2" diameter stop, tail, turn and backup lights, hinged gooseneck trapdoor, and sideboard set.
